Kitabi Launch

Beirut, October 30th – Lebanese software and publishing company, Edulab, hosted a press conference at the Unesco Palace in Beirut to launch their latest mobile application, Kitabi. 
“Kitabi” is a new interactive mobile application created to allow an interactive learning experience for the younger generation. School students will be able to access their school books using tablets with the option to highlight texts, add notes, search for keywords, as well as other unique features enabling a better learning experience.
 
The “Kitabi” platform can also further enrich book content through learning objects such as animations, videos and quizzes.
 
Kitabi, launched by Edulab, presents an innovative interactive experience, utilizing technology aimed at empowering the education system and improving the learning experience. It allows the students to interact with their school books and benefit from a new learning experience that complements the traditional learning system.

Believing in the need to improve the learning experience with technology, several partners have supported the mission of Edulab’s and its  latest project, Kitabi:
 
“Berytech Fund” and “CreditBank”, the main partners of Edulab;
The “Syndicate of Scholar Publishers Union in Lebanon” is supporting and collaborating to provide the school books, stories, educational and cultural books and other types of books;
“Grand Cinemas” and “ABC” are providing the marketing support;
“Evolve”, being an Information Technology Business Solutions provider, contributed to the application development;
“Samsung”, “Intel”, “Apple”, “Sony”, “Triple C” &”IDM” supported technologically the project;
This project wouldn’t have seen the light without the close collaboration and support of the Ministry of Education Center for Research and Development (CERD).
 
At the launch of Kitabi, Mrs. Paulette Assaf, Representative of the Ministry of Education And Higher Education, stated: “The successful integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) improves the quality of education and reinforces the students’ knowledge utilizing untraditional teaching tools, that allow them to participate effectively in the learning process, depending on their capabilities.”
 
Further commenting, The CEO of Edulab, Mr. Elie Chayaa added: “Technology encourages and drives students to learn and develop their mind skills.”
 
Mr. Maroun N. Chammas, Chairman and CEO of Berytech, added: “we are happy to support the Kitabi project, a technological  innovation that empowers the educational system in Lebanon.”

WHY EDULAB ?
